How do I grant permissions to the TSP?
These are instructions for running the NRCS website that is used to give TSPs and TSP Businesses permission to work with particular customers. Only the DC or other NRCS employee is able to use this website.
In the beta testing workflow, this would be the step that the DC would take after receiving notice that the customer (producer) has an agreement with a TSP person or organization to do work for them.
For the TSP, this is an example where ACS is set up to work with a fictitious customer that has been set up for test purposes. If the TSP belongs to a Company group, any permissions granted to the Company will be inherited by Dick.
So In the example below, the permissions website will be used to grant the TSP Company permission to a particular customer's (producer) folders.
1) Here's where it all begins. Plug-In Permissions is the actual name of the website at this time.
https://plugin.nrcs.usda.gov/Toolkit.Plugin.Permissions.Training/Default.aspx.
2) The site is protected by eAuth, so enter your credentials.
3) The TSP is a business, so select the appropriate type.

4) Then in the "Name" field type "A" to filter the search results down to businesses beginning with the letter "A", and then click "Search" button.
5) Select "Agriculture Consulting Services" for this example.
6) "Agriculture Consulting Services" will be displayed as the selected person below the search results grid. Then click "Change Plug-In Permissions" button.
7) The next window that is displayed is part of a series of windows for selecting the customer to grant ACS permission to work with.
First, which state is the customer folder in…
8) Then county...
9) I'm going to give ACS permission to work with a customer named "Joe Public". So I type that name in and click the "Find Customer(s)" button.
10) The circle button indicating "Not Set" means that there are no permissions set at this time for ACS to work with "Joe Public". We can change all that.. by clicking "Read-write" or "Read" and then the "Save" button we can give ACS permissions to respectively contribute(Read-write) to Joe Public's folders or to simply observe(read-only, no changes allowed) the folders.
11) Done.
